Simpulls Arcade at DigitalNationz

Simpulls

I spent today demoing off Simpulls Arcade at DigitalNationz. It is a two player (versus and coop) arcade version of Simpulls. It was quite fun to make and everyone seemed to enjoy playing it.

I don’t think I’ll do anything more with it, but it was very useful as a way to demo it without crowding everyone around a tiny touch device.

Simpulls wins Best Gameplay!

Simpulls

Earlier this year we polished up a release of our upcoming game Simpulls and entered it in a couple of Unity competitions.

Just today we were amazed to find out that we have been awarded “Best Gameplay” in the Unity Windows Phone 8 competition!

We are absolutely stoked with this, it is always nice to hear that other people appreciate the work you have done.

There is still a lot of work to do, the version we entered in the competition is still very early, but we are looking forward to sharing Simpulls with the world soon!

Defense Station on Playbook

DS

Tablets are all the rage this year, everyone is getting in the game. You have the BlackBerry PlayBookMotorola Xoom, HP Slate and even Sony are getting in the game. We love our iPad’s but we couldn’t help but check out the PlayBook, what with the free PlayBook for developers offer!

So without further ado Ironshod are excited to announce Defense Station for the BlackBerry Playbook! Get it while it’s on special @ 99c!

In porting Defense Station from the iPhone we took the chance to do all the things we couldn’t when restricted to the iPhone’s smaller screen. The most notable improvement is the new UI. The luxury of having more pixels is amazing! We were also able to have the whole map on the screen without the need to scroll.

Love the game? hate the game? got a question? or simply just want to add your 2c, we’d love to hear from you. Leave a comment below or flick us an email.

Reverse Maze

Hi All.

There is a small bug in “There and back”, the second level of disheartening difficulty. If you get the mirror trigger at a slow speed sometimes the door won’t disappear. Wiggle to the right a little and it will open.

Bug fix is on the way :-)

Reverse Maze is here!

Reverse Maze

We are glad to announce that our second game, Reverse Maze, has been approved by Apple and is ripe for the picking. Check it out on the app store!

Reverse Maze is a maze puzzler where all controls are backwards. Your goal is to get from the starting point to the exit without touching any walls or objects. What may appear as a simple task at first soon turns into frustrating yet fun gameplay. As you start to master the art of thinking backwards the game will throw more obstacles in your path by adding moving objects, traps and control modifiers to each level.

Reverse maze comes with 48 levels, stat tracking and online high scores.

Reiteration and re-evaluating is key to making a good game and we have taken these ideas on-board during the development of Reverse Maze. However nothing is perfect so we welcome all feedback and will endeavor to answer any queries.

We look forward to seeing you all on the high scores boards. Remember you can check out the high scores on the Reverse Maze page, just click the Reverse Maze High Scores link.

Happy Gaming!
